Tube carries water from the tap to the first element, and from each element to the next. It uses one 16 mm push-fit diameter across the whole system, so any fitting works anywhere.
People consistently underestimate their runs by about a third, because tube follows edges and corners rather than straight lines. Add ten percent to whatever you pace out.
